Azhar Ali has been one of the finest Pakistani batters in recent times and has generated a massive fan following. Ali was a Test cricket mainstay for Pakistan and emerged as one of the top batters in the world thanks to his brilliant technique and ability. But in a recent talk show appearance, a special Pakistan cricket fan failed to recognise him.

This fan was Pakistani actor Ushna Shah, who was asked to recognise a young Azhar Ali on a tv show. Ushna failed to recognise the cricketer who was seating right next to her. After a few minutes of guessing, the actor couldn't identify Ali, until one of the members of the show told her who the player was.

Everyone on the show burst out in laughter and fans deemed it to be similar to the Bollywood film Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi. In this movie, Anushka Sharma fails to recognise her husband Shah Rukh Khan after he changes his look. In the picture, Azhar Ali is seen without his trademark beard, making it impossible for Ushna Shah to recognise him.
Going back to Azhar's career, the right-hander hung his boots after scoring 7142 runs in red-ball cricket at an average of 42.26. In 97 Tests, Ali has put up 19 hundreds and 35 half-centuries. But unlike his batting, captaincy didn’t work for Ali as Pakistan only won 2 out of 9 Test matches and 12 wins from 31 ODIs under his leadership.
