During the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2025 match between reigning champions Islamabad United and Peshawar Zalmi, a ball boy was seen grabbing a standout catch outside the playing area. Batting first after winning the toss, Islamabad notched up 243/5 in 20 overs and erected their second-highest team total. Opener Sahibzada Farhan batted ferociously for defending champions and smashed his maiden PSL ton. The right-handed batter concluded his innings after scoring 106 which came in just 52 balls. His brilliant knock shattered Zalmi’s confidence as they surrendered on 141 runs while chasing a mammoth total. Farhan also became the player of the match for his magnificent batting show.

During the game, when Salman Ali Agha hit a superb maximum against pacer Mohammad Ali in the 16th over of the first innings, a ball boy displayed agility and grabbed an excellent high catch comfortably. The kid’s nimbleness and catching technique impressed commentators Aamer Sohail and Ramiz Raja.

Peshawar faces second drubbing in PSL 2025

Peshawar are looking extremely disorganised under Babar Azam’s captaincy. After the massive hammering in their opening game against Quetta Gladiators, they were expected to show their gallant side against defending champions United. However, they continued their underperformance against the Shadab Khan-led side and registered a humongous defeat of 102 runs.

Islamabad played ferociously and outclassed Zalmi in all departments of the game. Babar, whose responsibility was to display spunk in the chase, again departed with a single-digit score. The 30-year-old faced three deliveries and scored only one from his bat. Except for Mohammad Haris, all batters failed to handle Islamabad’s aggressive bowling.

The wicketkeeper-batter faced 47 balls and accumulated 87 runs with 6 boundaries (12 fours and four sixes). The youngster’s knock saved Peshawar’s face as other 10 batters couldn’t score more than 13 runs. Of 11 players from Zalmi, only three could score in double digits while chasing the giant target.
