The French Open 2023 has reached a crucial mark with several key players already marking their place in the quarterfinals. While some players have advanced into the quarters, a few of them were under the limelight for all the new reasons this season. While Novak Djokovic was questioned on his remarks on Kosova, Aryna Sabalenka was also a part of the headlines after she opted out of post-match press conference.

In the latest turn of events, one of the women’s doubles match was under limelight for all the wrong reasons. In a match between Marie Bouzkova/ Sara Sorribes Tormo and Miyu Kato/Aldila Sutjiadi, a ball girl was hit accidentally. However, this incident was unintentional but what it resulted to was not at all pleasing.

In the fourth game of the second after the Czech-Spanish pair had clinched the first set 7-6, Kato accidentally hit a ball girl on the other side of the court. Seeing this, the chair umpire warned the pair with Kato also running and apologizing for her action. Soon after this, the opponent pair ran towards the chair umpire and pointed at the ball girl who was left in tears, appealing for the match to go in their favour.
