Joan Laporta, the President of Barcelona FC, was spotted on camera, celebrating his club’s 2-0 win against Osasuna in the semi-final of the Spanish Super Cup with the Saudi Royal Family. As the 14-time champions of the prestigious annual Spanish football competition, Barcelona got the better of Osasuna thanks to two second-half goals from Robert Lewandowski and Lamine Yamal.

At the King Saud University Stadium, the first half of the Spanish Super Cup semi-final saw Barcelona make a strong start with constant high pressing and getting the Osasuna defenders scrambling. The game got a bit cagey as the half went on but Yamine Lamal, who had replaced the injured Raphinha, found a great pass for Robert Lewandowski to score, only to be denied by Sergio Herrera in the goal.
During the second half, just around the hour mark, Ikay Gundogan played a top-quality through ball to find Robert Lewandowski inside the box, who fired it into the bottom corner to put Barcelona in the lead in the 59th minute. Osasuna managed to get a second wind late in the Spanish Super Cup semi-final, throwing attackers forward in the hope of an equaliser, but Lamine Yamal finished off the Barcelona counter initiated by Joao Felix in the added time of the second half to make it 2-0.

Moments after Barcelona secured their spot in yet another Spanish Super Cup final, their President Joan Laporta, who was watching the contest with the Saudi Royal Family, celebrated the victory moment alongside them. In the other semi-final of the prestigious annual Spanish football competition, Real Madrid defeated their city rivals Atletico Madrid by 5-3 after extra time at the King Saud University Stadium.

With that, Real Madrid will face Barcelona in the final of the Spanish Super Cup, aiming to win their 13th trophy; their opposing counterparts have 14 trophies, the most in the competition.
