The 2nd T20I in Dharamsala produced everything a cricket fan could ask for. It had blistering knocks, a lethal bowling attack and spectacular fielding. While chasing the massive total of 183, India had a troublesome start as the hosts lost openers Rohit Sharma and Ishan Kishan cheaply. Still, Shreyas Iyer (74 off 44), Sanju Samson (39 off 25) and Ravindra Jadeja (45 off 18) ensured victory for the team in just 17.1 overs.

Iyer scored 66 off 38 in the 2nd innings to close the gap while getting decent assistance from middle-order batter Sanju Samson (39 off 25), who was looking to finish off things quite early. The game brought the best out of Sanju Samson as the batter delivered a stellar performance with bat and smashed boundaries all-around the park. His 39 in 25 balls had three 6s and two 4s, and interestingly, all the maximums came in a single over.

The 13th over of the game saw Samson in lethal mode as he hit Lahiru Kumara's first bowl to the boundary, followed by 6, wide, 6, dot, 6. While Samson was accelerating the innings for India, his innings came to an end due to a spectacular catch by six ft. 6-inch tall Binura Fernando. Samson went hard to drive the ball, but as it was too full and wide, a thick edge from the bat guided the ball, looping Binura at deep slip. But, he plucked the ball out of thin air while perfectly timing his jump. While everyone was surprised with Binura's successful attempt, indeed Kumara took sight of relief after conceding 23-runs in an over.

Post-Sanju Samson attack, Ravindra Jadeja and Shreyas Iyer brought India to the winning doors as Jadeja played some cracking shots all around to ensure a comprehensive win for team India. With that win, India clinched the three-match T20I series against Sri Lanka, while both sides will complete the formalities by taking on each other tomorrow (February 26th) in the same ground.
