During the highly anticipated DAZN Riyadh Season IV Crow Showdown card, the light heavyweight fight between Ben Whittaker and Liam Cameron ended in a bizarre manner after both boxers crashed out of the ring simultaneously at the Kingdom Arena. After the incident left British boxer Ben Whittaker injured, the judges' scorecard from the first five rounds led to his fight against fellow countryman Liam Cameron ending in a draw on Saturday, October 12.
Notably, Ben Whittaker wasn’t having the best time during the first five rounds of his bout against Liam Cameron, but he managed to do enough to stay in it. When both boxers fell to the ring apron after going over the top rope, the officials nearby managed to ensure that they didn’t crash onto the floor, but still, Whittaker wasn’t able to continue due to injuring his leg during the incident.

It led to a technical decision on the judges scorecard being used to decide the result of the fight, and with Ben Whittaker and Liam Cameron getting 58-57 from one judge each, apart from 58-58 from the third judge, they had to settle for a draw. At the time of the decision being announced, Cameron was inside the ring, while Whittaker had left the Kingdom Arena in a wheelchair.
While speaking to DAZN after his drawn fight, Liam Cameron wasn’t impressed with the result not going in his favour. He was quoted as saying, as per the Independent, “He didn’t want no more. He had nothing left. He was knackered [...] I definitely beat him. I don’t get a fair share. What more do I have to do?”
Meanwhile, in his interview with TNT, Liam Cameron alleged that Ben Whittaker was pretending to be hurt. He said, "His (Ben Whittaker’s) corner said, 'Stay down and pretend you're hurt.' I want either a rematch or something better. Ben deserves the rematch. I think I was a bit hard done by. He's the golden boy here, and I've just ripped the script up.”
