
In a bizarre incident from the Regionalliga, the fourth division in German football, Che mie Leipzig forward Denis Japel collided with the wall while trying to stop the ball going out for a goal kick in a clash against Chemnitzer FC on Saturday.
Midfielder Dennis Mast scored the only goal of the match in the 79th minute to help Chemie Leipzig beat Chemnitzer FC 1-0 at the Stadion Chemnitz.
However, the victory was overshadowed by gruesome injury to the visitors forward Denis Japel. In the 26th minute, Japel chased a fast-paced ball to avoid a goal kick, but the ball ran away quickly. The German forward couldn't control his momentum due to the wet outfield and smashed his face into the wall, which left him knocked out on the ground. Although, the forward managed to put the ball out for a throw-in but the move took a toll on his head.

Japel's teammate and opponent rushed towards him to check on his condition, but the footballer get back on his feet and walked without assistance before he was taken to the hospital.
Meanwhile, Chemie Leipzig registered their fourth consecutive win in the league after defeating Chemnitzer FC. Leipzig are currently on the sixth place with four wins, one draw and two losses in their seven fixtures while Chemnitzer are on 11th spot with just two wins in seven outings.
