The much-awaited World Test Championship final has finally set the tone. After winning the toss, New Zealand opted to bowl first, leaving India to take on the crease. Despite a good and steady start by the Indian openers Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill, the two were sent back to the pavilion in the very first session of the match. Where Kyle Jamieson dismissed Shubman Gill, Neil Wagner sent Rohit Sharma.

Cheteshwar Pujara gets hit on helmet

In the 36th over of the match, Wagner was leading New Zealand’s bowling attack. With Pujara on strike, Wagner’s second ball of the over bounced a little too high and smashed Pujara’s helmet, ripping off the soft protection. However, Wagner immediately asked Pujara if he was ok.
