India and Australia are locking horns in the second Test of the four match Test series. Earlier, Pat Cummins-led Australia won the toss and elected to bat first. After the toss, the much-awaited moment of the match took place the wall of Indian Test cricket Cheteshwar Pujara received his 100th Test cap from former Indian cricketer and legend of the game Sunil Gavaskar.

After this momentus honour, the Rohit Sharma-led Men in Blue also gave a guard of honour to the 35-year-old. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) shared a video of the same as they welcomed Pujara on his 100th Test match. Cheteshwar Pujara also received a chance to give a pep talk in the team huddle ahead of the start of Day 1’s play in the second Test match.

It is to be noted that Cheteshwar Pujara becomes the thirteenth Indian cricketer to achieve this feat. He joins the elite list of Indian batters to have achieved the feat which includes Sunil Gavaskar, Dilip Vengsarkar, Sachin Tendulkar, Rahul Dravid, Sourav Ganguly, VVS Laxman, and Virender Sehwag, Virat Kohli.
