SuperCell, the Finnish mobile game giant, launched Squad Busters, their first game in over five years with a jaw-dropping campaign from Uncommon, involving Chris Hemsworth, Christina Ricci, and Ken Joeng, among other Hollywood stars. Since its big launch, there have been more than 40 million pre-registration for Squad Busters, making it the fastest ever mobile game to reach this coveted landmark.

In the five-minute launch trailer for the Squad Busters, the Hollywood stars dressed up as different characters of the game to build up the excitement for it among the fans. Ken Joeng starred as the Chicken, Chris Hemsworth took the role of the Barbarian King, Christina Ricci showed up as the Witch, Will Arnett became the friendly lumberjack Greg, while Auli’i Cravalho played Shelly.

Squad Busters will give the players the chance to take part in the 10-person multiplayer matches, build their squads during the four-minute rounds, and compete against the opponents to grab hold of most gems.

The CEO of Supercell, Ilkka Paananen, spoke about the launch of Squad Busters and said, “Our game teams have a massively high-quality bar for releasing new games, which on the flip side means they kill most of the games they work on. This has meant we haven’t launched a new game for over five years.

“To mark this launch, our team wanted to create a show-stopping moment, so it felt fitting to have Hollywood icons face off against social media stars in a fun way, showing that life really is more fun when you’re with a squad!,” he added.

The Squad Busters is now available to download for the fans on their iOS and Android devices.
