The English starboy Jacob Bethell struck a humungous 104-metre six against Kyle Jameson, leaving the Delhi Capitals skipper Axar Patel in awe. Jacob Bethell had a quiet start in the first over against Jamieson as he got just the one boundary. He will be happy with the sixes he got as he couldn't get many runs in the previous game against the Gujarat Titans. In the previous game, he did get a couple of boundaries against Mohammed Siraj but nothing to cherish about. He was later dismissed in the same over and it was a soft dismissal for his standards. The RCB fans were waiting to see the batting of Jacob Bethell and he was delivered at the Arun Jaitley Stadium.

The Royal Challengers Bengaluru have cruised their way to victory against the Delhi Capitals by 9 wickets with more than 13 overs to go in the game. Jacob Bethell scored 20 runs off just 11 balls and they tried to finish the game as soon as possible and the intent cannot be questioned. Virat Kohli and Devdutt Padikkal stitched together a 50-run partnership that helped their side to get to the target quickly. The Delhi Capitals bowlers had very little to do with the ball as there was no pressure on the batting unit with such little runs on the board.

Royal Challengers Bengaluru cruise to nine-wicket victory after bowling DC out for 75

The RCB bowlers were simply exceptional with the ball as they bowled out the home side for just 75 runs. Virat Kohli and Jacob Bethell were given the responsibility to open the innings and to possibly finish off the match as quickly as possible. Kyle Jamieson was given the ball to bowl the first over and Bethell edged off a four in the very first ball. Then it was a quite over with just 3 runs in the over. Against Dushmantha Chameera, there was intent from Bethell but he couldn’t get the ball away to the boundary but Virat Kohli smashed one straight down the ground for a four.

Then once again the Capitals turned to Kyle Jamieson to bowl the third over of the match. Jacob Bethell scored a six off the second delivery off the over and that was a fantastic shot against Jamieson. He grew in confidence with that shot and charged at Jamieson to hit a humungous 104-metre six. Axar Patel was left in awe with that shot as that was one maximum to admire off the bat of Jacob Bethell.

The Royal Challengers Bengaluru won the game by 9 wickets and with 81 balls left to spare. Devdutt Padikkal scored a quickfire 34 off just 13 balls and he was well complemented by Virat Kohli, scoring 23 off just 15 balls. Kyle Jamieson got the sole wicket in the innings but it wasn’t good enough to hold off the mighty Bengaluru. RCB have got a massive leap in the net run-rate and they will just need a couple of wins to qualify for the finals.
