Ahead of the clash, Clippers star guard Russell Westbrook was involved in a heated exchange with a Hornets fan sitting courtside. This is not the first time when Russell Westbrook has been called 'Westbrick'. In June 2022, sports presenter Skip Bayless used the same term for the Clippers guard, who publicly lashed out at him. Westbrook told Skip, "Yoooo… watch your mouth. Don’t say anything here you wouldn’t say to my face."
Talking about the game, the Clippers beat the Hornets by 12 points despite Miles Bridges scoring 33 points and Brandon Miller racking up 22 points. With this win, LA extended their winning streak to three games and improved their regular season record to 47-27 to maintain the fourth spot in the Western Conference standings. The Clippers will next travel to the Golden 1 Center to face the Sacramento Kings on Tuesday night.
