The American tennis sensation, Coco Gauff, made a heartwarming gesture off the field as she gifted ball kids crew shoes during the qualifying tie between the United States and Austria at the Billie Jean King Cup 2023. Gauff, in association with her sponsors New Balance, gifted the all-girls ball kids crew pairs of CG1 shoes, which are her signature shoes as well. The 19-year-old tennis star's personalised shoes which were inscribed with a motivational message were presented to the crew as an effort to inspire and motivate the upcoming generation.

The message on the shoes read, “You can change the world with your racket.” The white shoes are a representation of Gauff’s tennis journey and symbolise empowerment.
