The 3rd T2oI between Pakistan and West Indies was going to be the last match of the series after it was announced that the ODI series has been postponed to early June 2022. The rising number of COVID-19 cases in the visiting camp has disrupted the ongoing series and fans were looking forward to a good game of cricket on Thursday.

As it turns out, the supporters in Karachi got exactly what they wanted as West Indies put up a mammoth total of 207/3 in 20 overs with Pakistan also getting off to a brilliant start, with the score reading 98/0 in 10 overs. The stage was set for a grandstand finish in this high-scoring thriller but one cannot really forget the crazy sequence of events that unfolded towards the end of the first innings.

Dahani vs Bravo - An unexpected clash

After the dismissal of Nicholas Pooran, the West Indies innings got slightly derailed as they failed to add too many runs in the final few overs. However, the credit for the same must go to Shahnawaz Dahani who bowled brilliantly, especially in the penultimate over, giving a set batsman like Darren Bravo no opportunity to free his arms.

The left-handed batsman was continuously getting frustrated and as a result, he was involved in a hilarious moment of banter/sledging with the Pakistani bowler. As he was running to take a single, Bravo made a gesture which looked like he was about to hit Dahani with his bat which also irked a reaction from the bowler.

Fortunately, it was all in the moment and nothing ugly happened as things calmed down without any possibility of a fight. Dahani, who conceded only 8 runs in the 19th over, also had a cheeky response for Bravo after the end of the over where he looked like giving a warning to the West Indies batsman.

Dahani capped off a brilliant spell of bowling where he finished with impressive figures of 4-0-23-1. After the innings, he said, "The roar the crowd gives makes you want to perform even more than 100%. But bottom line, I want to give my 100% while keeping a smile every game I play."
