Lucknow Super Giants’ Digvesh Rathi has been a limelight for his viral celebration in the ongoing season of IPL in 2025. The leg-spinner has often been performing a notebook celebration where he pretends to write a name of the batter in an invisible notebook after dismissing him this season. Recently, Rathi also revealed the reason for his celebration. “Whenever there is a tournament, I carry a notebook and write down all the name,” Rathi replied to a fan in a video posted by LSG on their social media.
However, after Digvesh Rathi revealed the reason for his celebration, he was also asked who will be the next players in his celebration. After that, one fan from the audience took Virat Kohli’s name. Notably, LSG are set to face Royal Challengers Bengaluru in their last league match of IPL 2025 at Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow on May 27 and we might see a face off between Kohli and Rathi. However, Rathi instantly nodded his head in denial indicating that he is not going to perform his celebration if he ends up taking Kohli’s wicket in the upcoming match.

When Virat Kohli paid back to Kesrick Williams for his notebook celebration
Back in 2019, Virat Kohli was engaged in a heated celebration against West Indies’ pacer Kesrick Williams in a T20I match in Hyderabad on December 6. It started way back in 2017 when Williams dismissed Kohli in a T20I in Jamaica on July 9. After taking a wicket, Williams also took out his invisible notebook and pretended to write Kohli’s name on it.
After two years, Virat Kohli finally got a chance to pay back as he smashed an unbeaten 94*(50) runs as India successfully chased the target of 208 runs against West Indies in Hyderabad. During his knock, Kohli smashed 32 runs off just 12 balls against Kesrick Williams. He smashed a huge six against the West Indies pacer and then replicated his famous notebook celebration to finally pay back to him after two years.
