Star all-rounder Ellyse Perry has finally joined the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) squad with just three days remaining for the third edition of the Women’s Premier League (WPL) in 2025. The tournament is scheduled to get kickstarted on February 14, with the defending champions taking on Gujarat Giants in the opening match of the season at Vadodara International Cricket Stadium.
The preparations were in full swing in the RCB camp with days ahead of the WPL 2025. However, the fans kept questioning about Ellyse and were curious to know when the Australian player would join the camp. Now, the franchise announced the arrival of their star player through a special video on social media, where Perry can be seen with the theme of former WWE superstar Stone Cold Steve Austin playing in the background.

Let’s do it again: RCB eye 2nd consecutive title in WPL 2025
In a viral video posted by Royal Challengers Bengaluru on their social media, Ellyse Perry was quoted as saying “I am here guys, let’s do it again,” indicating that the franchise is on a way to defend the title in the upcoming season. Notably, RCB finally got their hands on the trophy across all competitions as they emerged victorious in the second edition of the WPL in 2024.
Ellyse Perry played a crucial role in RCB’s maiden title campaign with her allround performance. She was the highest run getter of the season with 347 runs in nine matches at an average of 69.40 with a strike rate of 125.72. Apart from that, Perry also took seven wickets at at economy rate of 6.81 with one six-wicket haul. The RCB fans will hoping for Perry to carry forward her form in the WPL 2025 as well and help the franchise to win the second consecutive title.
