Ex-UFC player Greg Hardy made a bright start to his boxing career as he registered an impressive second-round knockout in his boxing debut.
Hardy, who also had a professional career in NFL, made his boxing debut on Saturday. Hardy faced fellow debutant Mike Cook and showed a dominant performance. ‘The Prince of War’ exchanged blows in a heavyweight class in Delray Beach in Florida under Black Sheep Boxing promotion.
In the second round, Hardy threw a quick right hand and Cook instantly fell down and was unable to stand, handing Hardy a victory.
Notably, Hardy had a controversial run in UFC. The heavyweight athlete joined the UFC in 2019 but had a bad start to his career as he was disqualified for delivering an illegal knee in his debut event. In 2020, Hardy suffered 3 consecutive losses in his 3 matches and was eventually not re-signed. The former NFL player was also in news for his off the ring controversies, including for domestic violence.
