After seven races in the F1 2023 calendar, two-time reigning champion Max Verstappen has already taken an unassailable lead in the season. On Sunday, June 4, the Dutch driver registered his fifth win of the season and third in a row as he won the Spanish Grand Prix 2023 at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya.

In a latest video which is doing rounds on social media, as the three podium finishers chaired a post-race interaction, a journalist unknowingly  addressed Max Verstappen ‘Fernando’. The reporter began, saying, “Question for Lewis and Fernando”. Although, all three drivers present there in Max Verstappen, Lewis Hamilton and George Russell, silently listened to the journalist’s question and soon paused as Russell reiterated saying, “Fernando?”

Soon after Russell’s questioning the reporter, the latter corrected his question to refer to Max Verstappen, leaving all three drivers in laugh. At that very moment, both Max and Hamilton also looked behind the couch to check whether Alonso was present in the room.

It is to be noted that Fernando Alonso is also having an outstanding season so far as he has finished at the podium in five of the seven races. The Aston Martin driver sits at the third place with 99 points, only behind Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez in the 2023 Drivers’ Standing.
