As Carlos Alcaraz prepares for the high-voltage quarter-final fixture, a fan gifted a Real Madrid jersey to the World No.1 tennis player at centre court. The Spaniard was interacting with fans, giving out autographs, and posing for selfies when the incident took place.

Alcaraz has had a strong tournament till now, reaching the quarter-finals of arguably one of the toughest grand slams. Alcaraz is in fantastic shape, having lost just one set in his last four games. The Spaniard, who just won his first grasscourt championship at Queen's, wants to maintain his top ranking by dominating in England.

In the first quarterfinal of the competition, Alcaraz will face seventh seed Holger Rune in an effort to win his first Wimbledon championship. The Dane defeated Grigor Dimitrov in the Round of 16 by scores of 3-6, 7-6(6), 7-6(4), and 6-3 to earn a spot in the quarter-final.

As the fan handed Alcaraz the famous white Real Madrid jersey over the fence, he dropped it accidentally. The quarter-finalist picked it up humbly and thanked the fan politely for the thoughtful gift. “Oh thank you very much, cheers to that, thank you”, said the 20-year-old after accepting the jersey.

Carlos Alcaraz has been a vocal supporter of the Spanish club for quite a long time now. He had even gone to the Martínez Valero stadium in Spain to watch the game between Real Madrid and Elche. Post the match he visited the Real Madrid dressing room and posed with several greats like Karim Benzema, Luka Modric, and manager Carlo Ancelotti. In April 2023, several Madrid players including Vinicius Jr,  Fede Valverde, and Dani Ceballos arrived at the tennis court to watch Alcaraz play in the Madrid Open.
