The famous exhibition baseball team Savannah Bananas are currently undergoing their world tour for the 2023 season. The team is known for playing exhibition games with a twist and engaging in the game with the sole intent to entertain all age groups. The team took on Party Animals in a game slated on July 12 at the Atrium Health Ballpark in Kannapolis, North Carolina. One of the highlights of the game came in the form of the Party Animal hitter getting out by a fan.

The team based in Savannah, Georgia, on their “World Tour” are set to play games based on Banana Rules, in 32 cities. Their game against Party Animals was full of crazy hits and was nothing but a package full of entertainment for the packed stadium.

The rival hitter Dustin Baber hit the foul hard, but it didn’t land as he would have expected as the ball was caught by a fan in the crowd. The situation would have been different had it been a regular game; however, as the fixture was based on Banana Rules, the players had to abide by the same. Rule number eight of the set states “Foul balls caught by fans are counted as outs.”

While Dustin was left disappointed and dejected with what had just happened, the Bananas rushed to the fan and embraced him. It goes without saying that the fan had just experienced something unrealistic and absolutely magical. The fan rushed onto the field beaming with a smile and gave high five to all the Savannah players.

Banana Ball is one of those events which involve fan participation and has its own set of rules, formed keeping audience entertainment in mind. The concept came out in 2016 and comprises of several elements including singing, dancing and a ‘plaza party’ in the end.
