A hilarious incident took place during the match between Falcon Risers Hyderabad and KVN Bangalore Strikers during the Indian Street Premier League (ISPL) at Dadoji Kondadev Stadium in Thane on February 1. During the sixth over of the Falcon Risers’ innings, Bangalore Strikers’ bowler Ashiq Ali Shamsu delivered a back-of-length delivery against Vishwajit Thakur. The batter smashed the ball towards the mid-wicket region and was going near the boundary.
As the ball was going inside the boundary, the KVN Bangalore Strikers fielder jumped over the boundary line and pushed the ball inside the ground with both his feet in the air. Although Bangalore Strikers saved a boundary with a tremendous effort by the fielder near the boundary line, another fielder who was near the striker's end collected the ball and conceded an overthrow in an attempt to hit the stumps. In the end, the overthrow costed Bangalore Strikers as it ended up clearing the boundary line.
