The ongoing US Open 2022 has been a roller coaster ride for all the Tennis fans in the world. While legendary Serena Williams crashed out of her final Grand Slam tournament from Round 16, Rafael Nadal too ended his 2022 season on a disappointing note on Friday which left the Tennis fraternity shocked and stunned.
As the prestigious tournament is headed towards its final stage, young prodigy Carlos Alcaraz prevailed over Jannik Sinner, 6-3, 6-7 (7), 6-7 (0), 7-5, 6-3 to reach his first grand slam semi-final on Thursday in the second-longest tie at the Grand Slam , with the match lasting 5 hours and 15 minutes at Arthur Ashe stadium. While Alcaraz and Sinner indulge into grueling contest, Indian fans were delighted to see their favorite world-cup winning captains Kapil Dev, and Mahendra Singh Dhoni among the spectators at Flushing Meadows.
The former Indian skippers were enjoying the hard-fought battle between both the Tennis player. Sony Sports Network, the official broadcasters of the US Open 2022, shared the video on Twitter on Friday, and captioned it, "Indian cricketing royalty at the #USOpen.
