India sealed the three-match T20I series 2-1 after the H ardik Pandya-led side completely dominated the final match of the series on the back of Shubman Gill’s unbeaten century and skipper’s four-wicket haul. What was shocking for all after the match was that the Indian skipper handed the trophy to Prithvi Shaw, who did not get a chance in the Playing XI.

After the Indian all-rounder collected the T20I trophy, he went straight upto the players. Often known as the players’ captain, Pandya was quick to hand the trophy to Shaw who looked excited from the entire lot. Shaw’s reaction said it all and the video of the same is doing rounds on the internet.

While speaking to BCCI.TV, Shaw admitted that he was extremely delighted to hear about his inclusion in the squad and expressed gratitude towards his friends and family for their constant support.
“I started getting a lot of calls and messages. My phone was getting hanged. I got curious to know what happened. But when I came to know about my name in the squad, I was happy to be back,” Shaw said in his recent interview.
