As the final approaches, the Global Super League (GSL) T20 2025 is getting intense, with some thrilling and nail-biting encounters. In one such match played between Rangpur Riders and Dubai Capitals, where the former won the game by eight runs while defending their score of 158/5. Pakistan all-rounder Iftikhar Ahmed was the player of the match as he performed well with the bat scoring 41* and also took one wicket.

But, in an incident during the fourth over of the second innings, Iftikhar’s method of going for the catch became the point of humour among the people who saw the moment. It was Niroshan Dickwella, who slogged the ball bowled by Iftikhar, and it soared high before the Pakistan all-rounder ran towards it and gestured it to come down with a dramatic hand action while going for the catch, only to drop it.

“I don’t think I’ve ever seen as animated hands when trying to settle for a catch,” said the commentator Niall O'Brien. With a laugh, he added, “Come to me come to me come to me, come! Bye bye.”
