The PSL 2022 final between Lahore Qalandars and Multan Sultans saw some incredible action and drama in first innings on Sunday. After winning the toss and electing to bat first, Lahore got off to a disastrous start as they lost few quick wickets, as they found themselves reeling at 25/3. This is when Mohammad Hafeez showed his immense experience and got his side back into the contest.
The right-handed batsman scored a valiant half-century and Multan were quite keen to take his wicket. During 13th over of the match, the desperation could be seen for Mohammad Rizwan's side as they took a DRS, on insistence of bowler Imran Tahir, in hope of getting Hafeez out LBW when ball had actually hit the bat.
On the next ball, Tahir beat Hafeez once again and began celebrating, thinking that ball had taken an edge of batsman's bat. However, nothing of that sorts had happened and this is when Hafeez went towards Tahir and engaged in a hilarious banter with him, possibly suggesting that there was no need for appeal as he had missed the ball.
Fans react on social media
As expected, the netizens were quick to talk about the incident on Twitter. While some claimed that it was an amazing moment between two opposition players, one user hilariously claimed that he had not accepted that 'rock-paper-scissors' will be played on field during PSL 2022 final.
Notably, Mohammad Hafeez continued to smash boundaries for fun after the match as his 69-run knock had set a perfect platform for Lahore to post a competitive total on board.
