The Indian women’s team created history as they beat England to lift the inaugural ICC Under 19 Women's T20 World Cup trophy in South Africa. The Women in Blue registered a seven-wicket victory as they comfortably chased down the 69-run total in 14 overs. Among many highlights from the game, the moment the entire Indian team celebrated their triumph will be immortalized in the minds of cricket fans.
As Soumya Tiwari drove the ball toward the left of the cover and completed the winning single, the entire Indian contingent rushed into the middle with joy and elation to savor this victory. This charge was led by captain Shafali Verma who draped the Indian flag like her cape as other Indian players mobbed Soumya Tiwari.
