After putting a competitive 162 on board, Team India made a terrific start with the ball as the hosts reduced Sri Lanka to 57/4 in 9 overs. While the bowlers were on point for the Men in Blue, the catching also deserved some credit. While Sanju Samson took an easy catch to dismiss Dhananjaya de Silva, wicketkeeper Ishan Kishan displayed brilliance on the field to provide India with a big wicket in the form of Charith Asalanka.
In the 8th over of the Sri Lanka innings, Umran Malik bowled a short-length delivery which Asalanka tried to pull. However, the ball took the top edge and went pretty high up in the air towards fine leg. Harshal Patel was coming in from the deep but Kishan called for it and put in the dive to take a brilliant catch. Skipper Hardik Pandya too was impressed with the youngster's effort as he gave a big smile.
