Indian wicketkeeper batter Rishabh Pant suffered a major car accident on Friday (30 December). The Indian cricketer has suffered major injuries and is currently admitted to a hospital in Dehradun. While the 24-year-old recovers, wishes from around the country are pouring in for Pant. His close ones are also visiting to check on his health. A few cricketers like Nitish Rana also visited Pant in the hospital. Meanwhile, Ishan Kishan, who is a good friend of Pant was left in shock when he came to know about the tragedy.
Kishan is currently playing for Jharkhand in the Ranji Trophy and hence has been left unknown about the happenings outside the cricketing world. However, as the wicketkeeper batter obliged to fans’ request for a selfie during the match, he was informed by them about Pant’s accident. Kishan was left in shock as soon as he heard about the news. He was heard shouting “Kya”.

Coming to Pant’s recovery, the Indian cricketer is making steady progress as he has started talking. Also, reports have claimed that Pant has been shifted to a private room from the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). Meanwhile, the cricketer’s family is not happy with the number of visitors coming for Pant. The hospital has also advised people to let the cricketer rest for a few days.
"It is important that Rishabh gets sufficient time to rest, not just physically but mentally too. He is still in pain due to the injuries sustained in the accident. He has to speak to visitors, which drains his energy that should be preserved for faster recovery. People planning to visit him should avoid it for now and let him rest,” a medical team member taking care of Pant was quoted saying by TOI.
