In his first WWE televised one-on-one bout on SmackDown from the Delta Center in Salt Lake City, ‘Samoan Werewolf’ Jacob Fatu defeated ‘Main Event’ Jey Uso to secure the WarGames advantage for the New Bloodline at the Survivor Series PLE the next night. Fatu managed to dominate Uso before winning the matchup wherein all the members of the New Bloodline and the OG Bloodline were barred from ringside by the SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis.
While it was a fair one-on-one bout between two of the most sought-after superstars in the WWE today, Jacob Fatu and Jey Uso managed to bend the rules to its absolute limit, to gain an advantage for their team going into the WarGames match. When Uso attempted a Tope Suicida off the ropes, Fatu caught him in mid-air before throwing him into the announcer’s desk, to gain the ascendency in their battle.
In the closing stages of the match, Jey Uso nailed a spear, followed by a diving splash on Jacob Fatu, but the Samoan Werewolf managed to kick out in the nick of time. After Uso cleared the announcer’s desk, to put his nemesis away, Fatu managed to cut him off with a kick before delivering a Samoan Drop on the table, followed by an Impaler DDT inside the ring.
It led to Jacob Fatu delivering a monstrous diving moonsault off the top role, connecting it inch-perfect on a fallen Jey Uso, to secure his first pinfall win in his first televised bout in the WWE, to give the New Bloodline the advantage heading into the WarGames match at the Survivor Series PLE. Solo Sikoa and the rest of the New Bloodline celebrated the big win on the entrance ramp at the Delta Center in Salt Lake City, to close out SmackDown.
