With the second half starting between Chelsea and Manchester City in the Champions League Final, the former headed into halftime with a narrow 1-0 lead, courtesy of Kai Havertz's brilliance. The reigning Premier League Champions wanted to go all out to ensure they get back onto level terms. However, City received another blow as their star midfielder, Kevin De Bruyne, was forced to be subbed off after a massive collision with Antonio Rudiger.
De Bruyne walks back in tears
In the 56th of the game, Kevin De Bruyne and Antonio Rudiger were involved in a massive collision with both players going for a 50-50 ball. As both players held their heads and went down, it was confirmed that the Chelsea defender was at fault. As a result, the former player was shown a yellow card.
With De Bruyne on the ground, the Chelsea medical staff configured that the Belgium international already has a black eye and this collision might have catastrophically hurt his neck.

Within a matter of the next few minutes in Champions League final, the signal was sent to the manager and City dugout that their marquee mid-fielder needs to substituted.
Manchester City are currently trailing 1-0 heading into the 65th minute, and have been left depleted in the centre of the field. With De Bruyne gone, Bernando Silva is expected to play more in the middle along with German international, Gundogan, to exploit Chelsea from the lower ranks off the pitch.
