KL Rahul didn’t look interested in having a chat with his former franchise owner Sanjiv Goenka after Delhi Capitals registered an eight-wicket win over Lucknow Super Giants in match number 40 of IPL 2025 at Ekana Cricket Stadium on Tuesday. The right-hander played a match-winning knock of 57*(42) runs and finished the game with a six as DC chased the target of 160 runs within 18 overs. After the match, when members of both the teams were going for a hand shake, Rahul went on to shook hands with Goenka.
However, it was looking like Sanjiv Goenka wanted to have some chat with KL Rahul but the wicketkeeper batter didn’t stop to have a conversation and went forward after a cold hand shake. Notably, Rahul was captain of LSG last year before he was released by the franchise and bought by DC in the mega auction. Apart from that, there also one instance during last year’s IPL where Goenka can be fuming at Rahul after LSG suffered a big defeat against Sunrisers Hyderabad in the group stage.

I was trying to perform like this from the start: Mukesh Kumar after match-winning spell against LSG
Talking about the match, Delhi Capitals registered a convincing eight-wicket win over Lucknow Super Giants. For DC, Mukesh Kumar turned out to be a hero with the ball with the figures of 4/33 as LSG could only post 159/6 despite getting a good start. After that, Abishek Porel and KL Rahul scored a respective half-centuries as DC chased the winning target in 17.5 overs. Mukesh was adjudged player of the match for his bowling performance.
“I always communicate with the skipper regarding my plans, whether I am bowling slower balls or yorkers. Mitchell Marsh wicket was really crucial, and picking up his wicket was really key for the team around that time. I was trying to perform like this from the start, but it wasn't happening and I would like to take this form going forward,” Mukesh Kumar said at the post-match presentation.
