In the recently ended semi-final clash between India and Australia in Dubai during the Champions Trophy 2025, Virat Kohli lost his wicket after scoring 84 runs off 98 balls in a chase of 265 runs. Batting first, Australia posted 264 runs, in reply to which, Kohli came up with another masterclass with his bat taking India closer to the win. However, as he was nearing his hundred, Kohli got out while trying to hit Adam Zampa for a big shot in the 43rd over with India still needing 40 runs to win in around seven overs.

Reacting to his dismissal, KL Rahul who was standing at the non-striker end showed his disappointment and was seen saying “mai maar raha tha na” to Kohli after his dismissal.
