Paris Saint-Germain continued their winning streak in the French League as they defeated FC Nantes 3-0. The game saw Kylian Mbappe score twice and Nuno Mendes also find the back of the net to increase their undefeated streak to five. But the highlight of the game was created by Lionel Messi who assisted both of Mbappe’s goals.

Between these two goals, the second one saw a magical assist as Messi was at the near post with a defender marking him. As both Mbappe and Messi were making runs, the ball came from the deep straight toward the Argentine. The former Barcelona player trapped the ball and found a beautiful weighted short pass, through the charging defender, for the Frenchman, who accurately scored.

After the match, PSG manager Christophe Galtier praised his team for their efforts and addressed why certain players were dropped from the team. He said, "We play a lot, every three days then every four days. Everyone understands that they will not be able to play all the 95-minute matches. I spoke about it twice. The first time with each player, the second with the whole group, to tell them that it was okay to be like that and that you had to have the right attitude."

Galtier then complimented the players for keeping the attacking intensity as they were able to score quick goals. He said, “We were able to score quite quickly and then the fact that we were playing with 11 against 10 obviously became a huge advantage. Then scoring the second goal quite quickly also allowed the match to drop in intensity and risk."
