Manchester United and Adidas have joined forces to unveil the highly anticipated home kit for the upcoming 2023-24 season. The fans are still awaiting news on the club’s sale and staged a protest against the club's owners, the Glazer family, on Tuesday morning blocking the entrance to the club's megastore at the Old Trafford, displaying banners and flags with anti-Glazer slogans and urging fellow supporters to boycott the new kit.

The protest was organized by a fan group called ‘The 1958’, who have been vocal in their opposition to the Glazers' ownership of the club. The Man United ultras said their aim was to challenge the perceived greed of the Glazers and demand a change in ownership. The fans also expressed their frustration with the lack of progress in the takeover saga that has been dragging on for eight months.

The Glazers announced their intention to sell the club in November 2022, following a wave of fan backlash after their involvement in the failed European Super League project. Since then, two leading bids have emerged for the club, one from Sheikh Jassim Bin Hamad Al Thani, a member of the Qatari royal family, and another from Sir Jim Ratcliffe, a British billionaire, and owner of Ineos.

However, neither bid has been accepted by the Glazers, who are reportedly holding out for a higher price and a partial sale that would allow them to retain some stake in the club. The fans have grown impatient with the stalemate and have called for a full sale only.

The protest also overshadowed the launch of the new home kit, which was unveiled by the club on Tuesday morning. The kit is designed by Adidas and features a red shirt with black stripes on the shoulders and a black collar. The shirt also has a graphic inspired by Manchester's industrial heritage and culture.

However, many fans were not impressed by the kit or the club's statement and instead voiced their discontent with the Glazers on social media. The protest was peaceful and legal, but it sent a clear message to the Glazers that the Man United ultras are not happy with their ownership and want them to sell the club as soon as possible.
