With the 2023 season just two weeks away from the start, Mercedes-AMG Petronas F1 Team on February 15 (Wednesday) revealed their new livery. The livery launch which took place at Silverstone on Wednesday afternoon, had seven-time champion Lewis Hamilton and Geroge Russell present along with reserved driver Mick Schumacher and Team Principal Toto Wolff.

Talking about the new livery, the Silver Arrows aced all  black look, the one which they sported in the 2020 and 2021 season as part of its anti-racism messages. After their stint with traditional silver last year, the F1 team returned to the black under their ‘significant project’ to reduce overall weight. However, the Mercedes team continued with their no side-pod design in the new W14.

“It looks good, I’m so glad we’ve gone to black livery. There’s a lot of excitement at putting it back in the road,” said Toto Wolff. Eyeing his eighth title, Lewis Hamilton also stated, “It looks great in black! We are excited to get back in.”

Notably, Alpine is the only F1 team yet to launch their 2023 livery after Haas VF23, RedBull RB 19, Williams FW45, Alfa Romeo C43, AlphaTauri AT04, McLaren MCL60, Aston Martin AMR23, Ferrari SF23 and Mercedes W14.
