After winning the first Test by 360 runs, Australia will look to take an unassailable lead in the three-match Test series against Pakistan. Both teams are currently squaring off against each other at the Melbourne Cricket Ground in the second Test that began on Tuesday, December 26. On the second day of the Test match, Australia all-rounder Mitchell Marsh interacted with the crowd by imitating Portuguese superstar Cristiano Ronaldo's signature 'SIUU' celebration.
Pakistan skipper Shan Masood won the toss and invited the hosts to bat first. Marnus Labuschagne (63) scored a half-century, while Usman Khawaja (42) and Mitchell Marsh (41) helped Australia reach 318 runs in the first innings. Pakistan pacer Aamer Jamal picked up three, while Mir Hamza, Shaheen Shah Afridi, and Hasan Ali picked up two wickets each.

Regarding the game, Pakistan scored 194 runs at a loss of six wickets at the end of day 2. Opener Abdullah Shafique (62) and skipper Shan Masood (54) combined for a 90-run partnership for the second wicket, while former skipper Babar Azam was clean bowled by Australia captain Pat Cummins at just one run.
At the end of day 2, Pakistan wicketkeeper-batsman Mohammad Rizwan was batting on 29 runs with Aamer Jamal. For Australia, Pat Cummins picked up three wickets, followed by Nathan Lyon's two and Josh Hazlewood's one wicket.
