The Big Bash League is often considered one of the toughest T20 leagues across the globe. While the domestic players dominate on the pacy and bouncy wickets of Australia, the overseas players find it absolutely challenging to succeed. While some take a few matches to get accustomed to the conditions, others take an entire season but still fail to come to terms with it.
However, Pakistani pacer Mohammad Hasnain took only 1 minute to announce his arrival to the league! The 21-year-old made his debut for Sydney Thunder against Adelaide Strikers on Sunday and stunned everyone with his magical start to the BBL career.
Hasnain wreaks havoc in Sydney
After the Thunder put up a competitive total of 172/7 in the first innings, the Strikers got themselves to an explosive start scoring 24 runs in 2 overs. This is when Hasnain was brought into the attack and the pacer completely swung the match in a matter of six deliveries.
The right-arm pacer bowled an incredible triple-wicket maiden (1 run was scored but it was off leg-byes, which does not come under runs conceded by the bowler) as he destroyed the top-order of Adelaide Strikers. In no time, the opponents found themselves reeling at 25/3 in 3 overs. Check out the summary of Hasnain's magical first over (3rd over of innings) on BBL debut:
2.1 - Hasnain to Weatherald: 1 run (leg-byes)
