Fast bowler Yash Dayal turned out to be match-winner for Royal Challengers Bengaluru after he bowled a crucial last over in match number 52 of IPL 2025 against Chennai Super Kings at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium on May 3. The left-arm pacer successfully defended 14 runs in the last overs and took the crucial wicket of CSK skipper MS Dhoni. A couple of days after the match, RCB shared a video on their social media where Mohit Rathee could be seen hailing RCB pacer.

In a video, Mohit Rathee can be heard saying, ‘Sankat Mochan’, which means the saviour, to Yash Dayal for his bowling performance against CSK. “Sankat Mochan of RCB,” Mohit said to Dayal in a video. Further in a video, Dayal also shared his experience while bowling the last over against CSK.

I wasn’t listening to the crowd or looking at the scoreboard: Yash Dayal

Yash Dayal revealed what he was thinking while bowling the last over against CSK at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium on May 3. The fast bowler said that he was only focusing on what ball he should bowl next and wasn’t listening to the crowd and looking at the scoreboard.

“My thought process was to stay positive and focused for the next ball. I wasn’t listening to the crowd nor I was looking at the scoreboard. I was also focusing on bowling the next ball well," Yash Dayal was quoted as saying in a video.

Notably, this was not the first time Yash Dayal pulled off a thrilling victory for RCB in last over against CSK. Last year, The left-arm pacer didn’t let CSK to score 17 runs in the last overs to qualify for the playoffs despite players like MS Dhoni and Ravindra Jadeja present at the crease. On both the occasions, he took Dhoni’s wicket and didn’t let Jadeja to score winning runs as RCB clinched thrilling wins on both occasions.
