A day before the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 clash between arch-rivals Mumbai Indians (MI) and Chennai Super Kings (CSK) at the iconic Wankhede Stadium, a video is getting viral on social media in which Jasprit Bumrah can be seen meeting with former India captain MS Dhoni. With Mumbai back to winning ways, their fans will be eager to witness their team’s upcoming encounter with the Yellow Army, who won their previous game against Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) after losing five games in a row. Both Mumbai and Chennai have struggled in this competition but the former side have shown a sign of recovery after winning their last two matches.
Ahead of the much-awaited clash, camaraderie between Bumrah and Dhoni was witnessed. In the video posted through CSK’s X handle, Bumrah can be seen walking upto Dhoni, who is getting ready to bat in the nets. Both India legends embraced each other and also held a chat for a few minutes. Taking to X, CSK posted the video between the two giant cricketing figures and wrote, “Jassi-Mahi - BHAIchaara #MIvCSK #WhistlePodu.”
MI will look to get their first win against CSK after three years
MI’s last win against CSK came in 2022 at the Wankhede Stadium. Following that victory, the Men in Yellow dominated Mumbai on four occasions. Both teams kicked off their IPL 2025 campaign against each other at the MA Chidambaram Stadium on March 23. In that clash, Chennai emerged victorious by four wickets.
However, MI are expected to deliver a tough challenge to CSK in the upcoming contest as Bumrah’s return has filled the Men in Blue with confidence. In MI’s four-wicket victory against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in Mumbai, the 31-year-old pacer registered 1/21 figures after bowling four overs. After Bumrah’s return, Hardik Pandya and co. have achieved success in two out of their three last games.
