With less than a month remaining for the start of the upcoming season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) in 2025, the excitement and buzz around the tournament is slowly building up. All the franchsies have started gearing up for the upcoming season and this edition is surely going to be a promising one. Amongst all this anticipation and excitement a big news has been the arrival of fan-favorite MS Dhoni at the CSK camp on February 26.
In a video posted CSK on their social media, MS Dhoni was seen arriving at the Anbuden where he reunited with skipper Ruturaj Gaikwad on his arrival. The duo shared a warm hug as shown in a video shared with a caption "A warm hug to the soul!" The duo will look to guide CSK through into the IPL 2025 season.
Preparations to start for the 2025 season
CSK have started their preparations for IPL 2025 with a 10 day pre-season camp starting on February 27. Multiple players of the Chennai franchise have already started arriving for this pre-season camp. Squad players Shaik Rasheed, Vansh Bedi, Khaleel Ahemad, Kamlesh Nagarkoti, Mukesh Choudhary, Ramakrishna Gosh along with Anshul Kamboj, Andre Siddarth, Gurjapneet Singh, Deepak Hooda and home-boy Vijay Shankar have already arrived at the camp.
Skipper Ruturaj Gaikwad is also present in the CSK pre-season camp. Ruturaj who wasn’t able to secure a squad in the recent bilateral series against England has been playing first class cricket in the Ranji Trophy and the Vijay Hazare trophy in the last two months. The most anticipated arrival has obviously been that of MS Dhoni, who reached the pre-season camp on 26th February.
Some big names from the CSK squad like Ravindra Jadeja, Devon Conway, Rachin Ravindra etc are yet to join the team as they are on international duty with their respective nations in the ongoing Champions trophy. Having secured five IPL titles and having the joint-most number of trophies in this tournament, CSK will definitely be in the hunt for their 6th title.
