The second phase of the IPL 2021 is around the corner. Teams have started arriving in the UAE. Chennai Super Kings, Kolkata Knight Riders, SunRisers Hyderabad, Royal Challengers, Bangalore, Delhi Capitals, and Mumbai Indians have reached UAE. CSK and DC players have also started their training, while Mumbai Indians players have just finished their quarantine. The Mumbai-based franchise reunited in Mumbai Indians’ Team Room with their players for a casual gathering and also to celebrate its team members’ birthday on Saturday evening.

The team shared glimpses of players enjoying video games and a few other indoor games. Rahul Chahar and Ishan Kishan were seen enjoying a game of pool, while Zaheer Khan and Dhawal Kulkarni united for a game of table tennis. Hardik and Krunal, as usual, walked inside in quirky outfits. The younger Pandya was also seen enjoying a car racing game. In the end, birthday celebrations for two of the staff members, including Kiran More took place.

Mumbai Indians will be eyeing a hat-trick of titles

Mumbai Indians have been the most successful team of the Indian Premier League as they have won the title for a record four times. The 2021 edition has not started on a high for the Men in Blue but they are used to making comebacks. In 2020, when the 13th edition of the IPL was held in UAE, Mumbai Indians were crowned as the champions. They defeated Delhi Capitals in the summit clash.

MI will face their arch-rivals CSK in the first game of the second phase. In their previous encounter, Mumbai were saved by Pollard, who single-handedly won the game with his firepower knock of 87* off 34 balls. However, Ambati Rayudu posed a good challenge for the Indians with his fiery knock of 72* runs. They would want to stop him and continue their dominance over the MS Dhoni-led CSK. They will also be eyeing on a hat-trick of titles as they won the 12th and 13th editions. Rohit Sharma has completely changed the fate of this team ever since he took the charge and will want to win the fifth title.
