The second Test between Bangladesh and Sri Lanka at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chattogram witnessed a hilarious moment involving a blunderous DRS by the hosts. After winning the first Test, Sri Lanka opted to bat first and got off to a brilliant start with Nishan Madushka and Dimuth Karunaratne posting a 96-run stand.

The Tigers broke the partnership but Karunaratne with wicketkeeper Kusal Mendis stitched another crucial stand. Bangladesh tried desperately to find a breakthrough but was unsuccessful in this phase. The experienced Lankan pair battled well until the 44th over when the Bangla Tigers felt they had an opportunity.

Shanto reviews for LBW after ball hits middle of Kusal Mendis' bat

Taijul Islam bowled a regulation delivery outside off stump, which Mendis stepped down to fend away. Immediately after some discussion, Bangladesh captain Najmul Shanto went for a DRS call. Embarrassingly for the 25-year-old, the big screen showcased that Mendis had middle the ball and the blunderous review was overturned.

The multi-format bilateral series between Bangladesh and Sri Lanka has been nothing short of entertaining with this second and final Test being the finale. Starting with the T20Is, the Lankans registered a 2-1 victory before the hosts retaliated in the ODIs by winning two of the three games.

The hosts brought this momentum into the Tests as well and nearly put the Lankans on the mat. But twin hundreds from Dhananjaya de Silva and Kamindu Mendis ensured Sri Lanka registered a 328-run victory.
