After a brilliant finish with the bat, Namibia started splendidly with the ball as they reduced Sri Lanka for 21/3 inside 4 overs. Shikongo was the star for the Namibia side as he picked 2 wickets in 2 balls to put the Asia Cup champions on the backfoot.

Shikongo first got rid of Pathum Nissanka in 4 th  over as the batter miscued the shot and give a straight forward catch to JJ Smit at mid-on. Sri Lanka then suffered another jolt as they lost Gunathilaka on the very next delivery. The batter edged behind and gave a easy catch to the wicketkeeper.

The pacer than bowled a sheering in-swinger which Rajapaksa missed and the ball hit the batter’s pad. While, the Namibia players were confident,  the pacer missed the hat-trick by an inch as the DRS showed that the impact was outside.
