India’s ‘Golden Boy’ will aim for his third consecutive Diamond League 2023 to qualify for the final cut in Eugene on September 16 and 17.

2020 Tokyo Olympic champions  Neeraj Chopra and Gianmarco Tamberi were seen pulling a daring stunt ahead of the Zurich Diamond League on August 31, Thursday. Earlier on Wednesday, Chopra said that Italy’s high jump World Champion Tamberi would support him to reach the 90m mark. During their practice session on Thursday, both the athletes were seen having fun on the training ground. 

In a video that has gone viral on social media, Tamberi and Chopra were seen pulling off a stunt, sending their fans in complete shock. In the stunt, the Indian his javelin, with Tamberi jumping over it. The videos were originally uploaded on the athletes’ respective social media accounts.

The athletes uploaded the videos on their Instagram pages and accompanied them with a caption. Chopra, on his Instagram page, wrote, “Always time for some fun in training. All set for #ZurichDL with my friend @gianmarcotamberi. Let’s support each other tonight!” 

Notably, on Thursday, India’s ‘Golden Boy’ will aim for his third consecutive Diamond League 2023 to qualify for the final cut in Eugene on September 16 and 17. The 25-year-old Neeraj wasn’t a part of the Monaco leg of the Diamond League and collected 16 points from the Doha and Lausanne legs.
