Olympic gold medallist Neeraj Chopra recently arrived in Vadodara ahead of the 36th National Games. The World Championships silver medallist was greeted by fans as he attended the grand Garba festivals of Vadodara's famous United Ways & Vadodara Navratri Festival. Chopra interacted with the crowd and also showed his dancing skills by doing Garba with the fans.

The crowd was also excited to see India’s Tokyo Olympics hero and chanted "Garam Garam Seera Neeraj humara heera" for the athlete.

Notably, Neeraj along with other athletes are in Gujarat for the opening ceremony of National Games. After winning the gold medal in the Diamond League in Zurich, Chopra announced that he won't be taking part in the National Games, and will instead take a break and start preparations for next season.

Around 7000 athletes are participating in the National Games 2022 in Gujarat. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will officially declare the Games open during the opening ceremony on September 29. Along with Neeraj Chopra, Badminton star PV Sindhu will be also present at the event.
