Punjab Kings put on a spectacular bowling display against Mumbai Indians on Friday as they restricted the defending champions to mere 131/6 in 20 overs. While the bowlers deservingly received praise by everyone for their outstanding display, there was another cricketer on the field who finally got a moment to cherish in IPL 2021.

Nichloas Pooran takes a blinder

The explosive West Indies batsman has had a horrific season in India so far. The 25-year-old has registered three ducks in four matches, with 9 being his highest score. Unfortunately, he was dismissed for a diamond duck (without facing any ball) after he was run-out against Sunrisers Hyderabad. However, it looked like the fortunes have changed for Pooran on Friday after he produced a magical moment on the field.

In the last over of the innings, Krunal Pandya smashed a shot towards the cover region off a slower delivery from Mohammed Shami. Nicholas Pooran, who was standing at deep-cover, sprinted towards the ball, kept his eyes and dived towards his left to complete a fantastic catch. Something that was more astonishing about the effort was that he went with both hands and looked in complete control as he leaned forward.

The 25-year-old would be hoping that he can take the momentum forward to the second innings and play a valuable knock for his side to guide them to a much-needed victory.
