As Leicester City travelled to Russia to lock horns with Spartak Moscow in Europa League clash on Wednesday night, it was certain that the two exciting sides will play out an interesting game of football. However, not many would have imagined the unbelievable sequence of events that actually happened at Otkritie Arena.
Coming to this contest on the back of a draw and a defeat, Leicester City were desperate for a win but things were not really panning out the way they would have thought. Aleksandr Sobolev opened the scoring for Spartak Moscow before Jordan Larsson doubled the lead in 44th minute. Brendan Rodgers' side were set for another shocking defeat in the competition and this is when a miracle started to unfold in Russia!
Patson Daka scores hattrick in 9 minutes
Zambian striker Patson Daka, whose selection in starting XI was slightly surprising, justified his manager's trust as he wreaked havoc. The 23-year-old got one goal back for his side at the stroke of half-time to shift the momentum towards Leicester City. As the Foxes came back for the second half, it did not take much time for them to equalize and it was once again Patson Daka who finished an east tap in off a pass from Kelechi Iheanacho.
As it turned out, Daka completed a fantastic hattrick with a brilliant finish between the legs of goalkeeper, from a through ball by Youri Tielemans. In just a matter of 9 minutes, Daka had scored a hattrick and Leicester City had come from two goals behind to lead the game 3-2.

Just when fans would have thought that they had seen enough drama, it was not the case as James Madidison found Daka in some space down the left as the striker produced another fantastic finish off his left foot to score his 4th goal for the evening.

Although Aleksandr Sobolev did pull one goal back for Spartak Moscow in 86th minute, it was too late as Leicester held on to the 4-3 advantage till the final whistle and took home three crucial points.
