Punjab Kings skipper Shreyas Iyer has named the cricketer he thinks deserves the tag of GOAT in T20. Iyer is currently leading the Kings in the IPL and has been delivering impressive performances to keep the side unbeaten in the global T20 tournament thus far. In their recent match, the last year’s finalists locked horns with the Mumbai Indians at the latter’s home ground, Wankhede. Riding on Prabhsimran Singh’s unbeaten 80 and Shreyas Iyer’s 35-ball 66, the Punjab Kings handed the five-time winners their fourth consecutive defeat of the season.

The 31-year-old was asked to name the GOAT (Greatest of All Time) in the T20 cricketing sphere. Iyer responded by naming Royal Challengers Bengaluru skipper Virat Kohli. Notably, Kohli is currently the Orange Cap holder in the IPL 2026 season with a total of 228 runs in five games. His knocks have been helping the side record back-to-back wins in the season. However, the former RCB captain got himself injured during the clash against MI, raising speculations about his participation in the upcoming game.
