Prabhsimran Singh, the wicketkeeper-batter of North Zone, pulled off a stunning catch to dismiss Ricky Bhui of South Zone in the first match of the Deodhar Trophy 2023 on Monday. The catch was so spectacular that it left everyone in awe and created a buzz on social media.

The incident happened in the 39th over of South Zone's innings, when they were batting first after winning the toss at the Cricket Association Pondicherry Siechem Ground in Puducherry. Bhui, who had scored 31 runs off 39 balls, tried to uppercut a ball from pacer Mayank Yadav.

However, he only managed to get a thick edge that flew toward the right of Prabhsimran, who was standing behind the stumps. The 22-year-old keeper showed amazing reflexes and agility as he dived full length to his right and plucked the ball out of thin air with one hand. He then landed on the ground and celebrated his brilliant catch with his teammates.

The catch could prove crucial as Bhui was looking comfortable on the crease and the South Zone innings lost momentum and could only get to 303 in their 50 overs when they were 224 for four when Bhui got out with 12 overs left. North Zone are in trouble as they are four down for 24 and the game is currently stopped because of rain.
