The 47th match of IPL 2022 has Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and Rajasthan Royals (RR) up against each other at the Brabourne Stadium in Mumbai. KKR captain Shreyas Iyer opted to field first after winning the toss and his bowlers obliged their captain's decision as they restricted RR to 152/5 in their 20 overs.

Meanwhile, RR found themselves a tad lagging after finishing the first innings. Every player in the RR camp knew that they need to put in some extra effort in the second innings if they wanted to win the game. And thus, everyone was giving their hindered percent be it the bowlers or the fielders.

Trent Boult started the proceedings for RR with the ball. Things started well for RR as the KKR openers looked uncomfortable against both Boult and Prasidh Krishna. With both teams going neck-to-neck, the atmosphere was intense in the middle. However, a funny incident made things a tad lighter.

In the third over of the KKR innings, Prasidh Krishna almost knocked down Trent Boult with his throw. On the first delivery of the over, KKR batter Baba Indrajith played a nudge towards mid-on and sneaked a quick single. Krishna who was fielding there came charging at the ball and threw it quickly towards the wicketkeeper's end but could only hit Boult on his left leg.

RR bowlers keep it tight!

Now coming to the first six overs bowled by RR bowlers, they kept it really tight in the powerplay. Trent Boult, Prasidh Krishna, and Kuldeep Sen not only kept a check on the scoring rate but also took wickets. While Sen cleaned Aaron Finch up with a ripper, Prasidh Krishna got his revenge against Baba Indrajith with a sharp bouncer. On the back of disciplined bowling from their pacers, RR conceded only 32 runs in the first six overs.
